Dear Malathi, Wish you a great success and may god wish you to do the same, whenever or every year if it is required for doing the sumangali prarthanai. You can give coconut in the thamboolam. Please make sure that you can give an one rupee/2 rupee / 5 rupee coin (as you wish) in the thamboolam. I hope it is very important, though we give some rupee notes in the thamboolam, a coin is a must. It is a small suggestion.

It is who first initiated this for quite some long time.. but due to his brother-sister relations, it was delayed for some years.... Yes I have made it mandatory to give Coconut... But my MIL told if it is to give cocunut, then full Coconut (green color Mattai thengai) should be given, which is not possible to go and search for it.. so this is dropped for time being...and my MIL told, its not mandatory.... And Dakshina is to be given as suggested....I have made it ready to.. thanks again Nandri

Dear Malathi Where are you staying in Chennai? If I know, I'll tell you some places, where you can get mattai thengai. Here, near our house, whose house has got coconuts, they give us. If it is possible, I'll suggest you. You can also, ask your neighbours if you know in whose house they have coconuts. Just a suggestion.

The Menu list looks very very Yummy ! I remember eating a "Thani-kootu" in our house. Do you have that too ? And others mentioned about neer mor , Paanagam , nalangu , vethalai (after lunch) . Along with this we also had Sukku-Vellam after the lunch . Even if you miss out anything do not worry . This is performed to serve as a host for all the ladies.
