Hi friends. Did you every hear that a day is celebrated for the sake of wife. In our mandrams we are celebrating. This year I conducted this in our mandram on 2nd September. Of course it should be celebrated on 30th of August but since the same will be celebrated in our trust Itis not fair to clash with the Trust. Hence we celebrated on 2nd. About 25 couples participated in the program. On the day of function, first it will start with iraivanakkam, guruvanakkam, meditation. Then there will be a speech on the importance of celebration and method of celebration. Then all the couples are asked to sit facing each other, both has to tie their hands as is done at the time of marriage, they will be asked to see each others eyes for one minute and then asked to close their eyes and be blessing each other. It will be repated thrice. Then husband will give flower to his wife, and wife will give fruit to her husband and husband will chant a poem of maharishi. I will publish the poem in the next post. All the participants filled with joy. Then the celebration came to end with thanksgiving, ulaga nala vaazhthy and dinner. Really it was an happy occasion for us.
