@damini i missed replying to your post . i know it is just a mental block. my dh now voluntarily takes varagu, kudiravali..and says thinai he does not want..it is just that he does not want try them..but i am happy that he has started cooking for himself and has lost a little weight too. and that pumpkin raita is that white ashgourd or yellow pumpkin raita..if yellow, i have used it in baking and chutneys, avials and sambhars but not raita..should try. @butterflyice the one that we use prominently for diabetes is navalpazham..jamun in hindi and neredu pallu in telugu. even the seeds are used for diabetes treatment. one of my favorite fruits and they cost 250-300rs/kg.now with the ragi flour you can make muffins, thattai, adai, dosa and koozhu..
