    Shanvy, our local grocer had kept the sarson leaves. I thought it was radish leaf and asked. She told me it was sarson, so bought it and tried it out.

    Shanvy/Satchi, can you please give me the tamil name of sarson. I had it at a friends' place once but those were the days of mindless eating and didn't bother to inquire what is that. Also, amarnath is ponnaganni?

    @deepthiraj yummy look parathas.

    @sumanrathi do you watch all these programmes.

    @chillbreeze i don't get time to watch these programmes and looks like almost all tv channels are luring people into siddha and alternative medicines. i see lot of homeo promotion in telugu channels. hope we have genuine and well informed people talking about things and also talking about the side effects or contra-indications too. i will check you tube. once @latharam09 told me she watches some programme you tube. seriously i did not know there was a channel called vendar..

    @satchi i am going to check the greens section more closely..

    @chillbreeze there is a post somewhere where we discussed all the greens.

    amaranth - mullaikeerai. various varieties like araikeerai and sirukeerai also come in the amaranth group
    ponnaganni Dwarf copperleaf

    sarson is mustard greens..kadugu ilai..?? and with makki ki roti and a dollop of home made butter is a staple combo.

    Shanvy - this is from your post #185. Have a small qtn, why should we bring to room temperature/then MW? you know, most of the days I try to give fresh food to my kids, rarely on days when I can't wait to heat them in a bowl of water/steam them in a cooker, I use Dhal/subji from fridge, reheat in MW and give them. Would like to understand, MW without bringing room temperature has any safety hazard or any other issues? when you get some time, pls do clarify this point.
