Hi, i miscarried in 5th week due to low progestrone levels. It seems i have hormonal imbalance in my body. I have got a prescription of some medicine from my cousin who is a homeopathic doctor. Hope that will correct the imbalance. Currently i am shattered and waiting for conceiving again.

i would suggest you to see a good specialist doctor, they will do a elaborate blood test to find out more about your gynecological health, like are your ovaries good ?,is your prolactic normal levels?,how is your androgen and testrogen levels?.i figure you have no difficultly in getting pregnant so all that you need is to have a progesterone supplement once you are pregnant for the entire first trimester, how much of progestrone are needed by body to keep the baby can be decided only by doctor.so dont freak out,it is possible to correct the imbalance and its minor problem once its identified an i strongly suggest you get a clear picture of your health and so that doctors can do the correct treatment.all the best !!keep faith and be strong !

I will also suggest to go to specialist and check all ur harmone levels.
dont rely on homeopathic or ayurvedic medicine it takes so much time for effect...i tried it.

    Hello Sunuansh,

I m so sorry for your loss.

I can understand your feeling as i was caught in same situation almost an year back.

As suggested by Parukutts and many others , i would also tell you to go and see a doctor and try to find out the reasons along with them. There are loads of prescriptions and medicines available to cure those little things.

Homeopathy and ayurvedic medicines may work but they too shouldnt be use without an expert opinion. What could be good for your cousin could not gurantee same effect on you.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I wish you loads of sticky baby dust.

    Take care.

Low progesterone levels results in short leutal phase for a woman and in such cases chemical pregnancy, early miscarriage etc can occur. Main reason for this is..... Progesterone is responsible for thickening the uterus lining which when is defficient causes thin lining resulting in early miscarraige and fertilised egg unable to implant(implantation probs).
A oral or vaginal progesterone supplement can cure this. I also had this issue and i took progesterone supplements for my two IUI cycles and later tilll 12 weeks of pregnancy ( till the fetus develops the placenta and chances of miscarriage reduces then).

Talk to your doctor about this. Good luck.

@27csweetangel: I am not an expert but here is a link which may answer your query on low progesteron -http://www.natural-hormones.net/progesterone-symptoms-low-levels.htm
On an average a luteal phase may vary from 10-16 days. See this: Luteal phase - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To maintain a healthy pregnancy luteal phase should be atleast 10 days long.
    Hope that was of help.

Hi everyone and thanks for the support. My doctor has given me various supplements that aid conception. Also it was a chemical pregnancy for me she said. She has advised me to keep a gap of 2 months and then come for a Follicular monitoring and LH test.
