    Hi gals,

I live near Boston and here are few instant low-cost getaways the family can enjoy:

The Jordan's furniture store is not just for furniture, it has IMAX + 3D theater, ice-cream shop, jelly-bean shop for kids and amazing massage recliners to try for free!
Jordans Furniture Not Just A Store an Experience

IMAX at science museum (you don’t need to buy ticket for Science museum to enter IMAX theater….you can just walk in and buy tickets for IMAX only which cost like $6.50 after 6.PM)
Museum of Science, Boston | Imax

This is a apple/plums/peach orchard and winery (if you like picking fresh apples, wine tasting, how-to-process then it’s pretty good tour)

    Farmer’s market (very fresh veggies):
FarmFresh.org — - RI farms, local food, farmers' markets

Revere Beach SAND sculptures…the competition is usually in July
    New England Sand Sculpting Festival

Free outdoor movies (lots of cartoon movies for kids)

Apart from these just go to the local libraries to get free passes to Musuems, Aquariums in your city!!

Pitch in with more ideas please....

    :cheers
