If u observe the pics closely, u will find that she has put on a little bit of makeup..lipstick, lip gloss also count as "makeup"...maybe she has applied a little bit of foundation and eye shadow but not mentioned about it..
Yea refreshing, but she got lot of attention because her wedding was covered by a magazine..
There are natural beauties who don't need many cosmetics to look pretty.
I have attended one wedding reception years ago, the bride was dressed in a simple and elegant saree, minimal jewellery..could see small sized earrings and a slim necklace only..minimal makeup..unlike the typical decked up bride look..of course she was naturally beautiful, I saw many ladies praising her..
The social pressure of looking all gorgeous and decked up is very high among brides and some go overboard with beauty treatments , dental treatments and fitness regimes before wedding.
Personally I like the idea of using minimal cosmetics, as I have facial acne..using foundation, blushers etc out of question for me as they just clog my pore. Not fond of eye shadow. Do not own one..do not own mascara as well.
My "makeup kit" consist of 2 shades of lip gloss, compact, eye liner and bindis.
Not interested in looking like a celebrity, if it means suffocating my skin with chemicals..:)

The article says that face has no makeup other than lip gloss and eye liner. I find that hard to believe. It looks beautifully made up. Her nose and surrounding area such as under the eyes and around the nostrils look like at least a good foundation was used. There is no demarcation between face and neck -- very tricky to achieve with makeup, more so without makeup. If no makeup, photos are definitely photoshopped. Waxed arms, manicured and beautifully painted finger nails, mehendi till the elbows... no makeup??

Taking seven months to plan one's wedding, completing all work a month ahead to look relaxed... no makeup but an Anita Dongre lehenga.... I checked the prices for Anita Dongre lehengas that look like the one she is wearing. Not cheap.

I did hear of brides going through a regimen of 3-4 months before wedding date. Costs 1-2 lakh rupees, and everything from diet, exercise, sleep etc is under strict supervision of an instructor. They do look ravishing on the big day.

Exactly my thoughts ! She definitely has some basic foundation , eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and lipstick. The only thing missing is a blush on

CE, Come on yaar, she is made up.

@Needtobestrong, you have me for a company. Because of my sensitive skin, I too don't use any makeup other than bindi, lipstick and kaajal. I use a homemade cream for face and lately, I have stopped using even sunscreen! I use compact only on special occasions to avoid the oily face.:)

Well, I do notice the eyeliner.

Maybe because blush is missing, it looks like she is without make-up.

And I thought she was wearing colored lip gloss.

Well, I didn't considered waxing and mendhi to be makeup

    Oh my!

Alas, health should be life-long, rather than just for special day, i.e. we can all benefit from proper diet, sleep, exercise.

Yes, there are coaches that may do EXTREME diet and exercise, but those results are temporary (and may be dangerous, depending on client's health)......
