Love Marriages & How did parents handle it? Share your experiences!!

Hello to all,

I have read most of these threads and I know there have been a couple where you all described your experiences of love marriages and how you convinced the parents. But I hope you can come out and talk about it in detail because I really want to know how to go about it.:confused2:

So how did you break the news to your parents that you were in love with someone? How did they take it? What was your relationship like after you told them? How did your significant other handle the situation? and If the parents finally agreed, what made them finally give in? :shock:How was your relationship with your parents before and after marriage (if you guys got married)? Was there anything you found comfort in even when things were going terribly wrong.. your then boyfriend, God, work, relatives?

I'm looking forward to reading the answers! I could really use some advice right now.
