    Dear Meenakshi,
thanks for doing boni for LA 4 with your lucky hands. Are we going to see more of Aravind from the next chapter? Well, I am not so sure Meenakshi.
You are right about Janaki. If Malathy Jey inspired Yamini, Chithra inspired Janaki.
Sridhara Aiyawal's story is something I love with all my heart. Being a brahmin myself I am against all kinds of brahmin-bashing. But at the same time I am also against anybody claiming superiority because they are born as brahmins. In fact Mahabaratha declares that every one is born of the Fourth caste. It's only by actions that they become brahmins.
    janmana jaayathe sudhraha karmano dvijojyathe
If things go well I will be bringing in some religious snippet now and then in LA.
Thanks for your fb, Meenakshi. Thanks for being the first. Of course there was one part of the fb which I have to object strongly.

    HTML:
Though want to write more not able put it words properly.

All the lines that precede this line are evidence against this line.
    do you agree?

    Sriniketan,
Thanks for the fb. Since I was in IL almost since its inception I can visualise the natural growth and evolution of a community like ours. Of course I had to embellish the facts with my imagination so that there are no pointers to the real people.
With reference to the Aiyawal's story, I just want to tell you this. Along with Yamini I have also requested KG to write to us every week. So there will be something like this every week in LA. Hope you'd come and bless us every week with your fb.
You are right about people attaching too much of importance to rituals. Ramana Maharshi has composed one of the most beautiful poems in Tamil - upadesa undhiyar. The prelude is that the rishis in Taraka Vanam start considering the rituals as the means and the end. Lord Shiva appears before them and makes them realise their foolilshness. And our Maharshi says,
    கர்மம் பயன் தரல் கடவுளின் ஆணையால்
    கர்மம் கடவுளோ உந்தீ பற
    கர்மம் சடமதால் உந்தீ பற
To be able to read Gita along with one's daughter.. a rare blessing Sriniketan. I am happy for you.
    love,
    sridhar

    Sridhar,
I am happy to get an additional quote from Ramana Maharishi...
In my house my dh had made a point that the children should read Tamil and Sanskrit during the weekends..some times it frutifies, sometimes don't. In order to practice reading the Sanskrit, I chose Bhagavad Gita..

We are blessed here to receive KG's writings, every week.

    Dear Boost,

Atlast after Herculean attempts today I was able to read LA 4.

I should say it was wonderful with a great speed. The Sridhar Aiyawal's story touched my heart.

So the website is set to launch now....

Why is destiny so sad?... I think Arvind comes as a negative character..... so waiting for more karam and koffee.

This is my short fatafat fb as Iam in the midst of lot of work. Will come back after I settle down with work.

Boost, this is my anniversary fb in your forum with a changed avatar. How is it?

    Dear Viji,
I was moved to see you reading LA 4 at 8 5 am on 7th when you were about to leave for the function. I had set the alarm at 6 30 so that I could start posting at 7 AM. Happy that you could read it before you went out.

In any major project every one is important. My friend who is the cine-field used to say that if a light-boy does not co-operate then the beautiful heroine might look like a devil and a love scene might be like a horror scene. You know the same thing is happening in IL. Even a person who writes an one line fb to the posts here has a role to play.

You are right about people observing Yamini blushing. The mother finds it first. But on the second instance even the father finds it. Because that's a more blatant occasion. But whether all this dreaming, blushing of Yamini is worth the while.... we'll have to wait and see.

I had heard the Aiyawal's story long back and wanted to post it as a separate story. But after the serial started I don't have time to make other posts. Hence I included it in the main story itself.

KG is going to write about religion continuously. So who knows, we might get a post from him almost every week.

Sridhar I enjoyed everyline of your episode but I am not able to
    put it properly in words
    .

Again I say If I have written anything wrong please excuse me.
Why should you be apologetic, Viji? You have every right to say whatever you want to and you have said it rightly. So there is no need for the quoted words.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear Sir,

Arumayo arumai. Whenever there is a topic about a new forum and who is going to leading that is like adding a pearl to the string.

But honestly speaking when you mentioned about Mr. K. Gopalan writing about the Religion and spirituality first thing that came to my mind was Cheeniya sir. Somehow the description fits him.

Aiyawal story is a very good religious one and I'm going to share this story tonight with my son.

    Dear Malathy,
thanks. Well, I am not an expert in Chennai Roads. Otherwise I would not have called you a dozen times before reaching your house on 2nd December. I'll let you a secret. Whatever roads I describe in my story, I verify by travelling through that road. For example in this episode I had first mentioned that Kathipara junction came before Le Royal Meridien. But I went through the same road to drop my daughter at her office. Then I found out that I am wrong and made the correction. So my expertise is confined to a few roads I know. If you leave in Anna Nagar West and ask me to come out on my own, I'll be stranded there for years.

And I adopt the same strategy for computer features as well. I have access to a few technical persons and I get basic details from them. Then I liberally mix those details with my imagination to write about them. To be honest, though you won't find anything wrong about them, at least prima facie, I am sure you can't create a site with those scanty details. But in fiction this is what readers want. Going a little more technical will only tire the reader.

Human mind is my only specialisation and there too my knowledge is limited to the actual experience I have had during the fifty plus years of my life.

About moderators and forums I borrowed the idea from our own community. I know IL from the time we were less than 100 members. Now the number of new members added per day is much more than that.

I think you love old Tamil movies a lot. I too fall in the same category. I tell this because you have changed the name of the character from K.Gopalan to K.Gopalakrishnan, closely resembling K.S.Gopalakrishnan who directed ace movies like Kulama Gunama and Uyira Maanama.

Because of this serial I am not able to write anything in my biweekly columns. So I have combined that also into the serial. There will be hopefully a religious writing every week by KG.

thanks for the fb, malathi once again. And the badam halwa you gave is still sweetening my taste buds and my heart. Thanks for that too.
    love,
    sridhar

    My Dear DD,
I am yet to come out of the influence of your Alladin lamps, DD. It is one of the finest posts of all times. May God bless you.

I find a strong similarity between you and Indhumma. She also said,"Only ten parts this time,. A little smaller than usual."

Actually, DD, the size of the episode is not determined by the number of parts. I could have divided this episode into 20 parts and then you two would have said, "Oh, it's longer than usual."

I'll tell you a secret. This episode was longer than the earlier episode as it had 5034 words. The earlier ones were about 200-300 words less. But last time I divided into more number of parts. So there is an optical illusion there making this episode look shorter.

Viji has been so kind to me and this is the least I could do to her. We exchanged notes in the mini-grand ILites thread and consequent to that I posted the episode earlier.

Yes, Shobana's munificence is something Yamini or her father had not planned.

Though I am a strict vegetarian I do respect the other side and hence brought Bala in. But it will be very difficult, almost impossible for me to post the recipe for Mutton Chops. I don't know about our recipe section much. But there used to be one Mano Swaminathan who wrote about NV dishes. She inspired the character Bala.

Well, I borrowed the idea of Kripa's design based on the recent addition of Themes to Gmail. The theme I have chosen for my ID changes with the time of the day.

Well, KG is going to write for us every week. Many people have been complaining to me, "Sridhar, when you are busy with the serial, you don't write anything on religion in your bi-weekly columns."
Well, I can't do both honestly. So I have asked KG to do that for me. He has happily agreed. I have chosen the topic for LA 5 as well.
KG is also a kind man. Thanks for liking him.
Thanks for your kind fb, DD.
    Love,
    Your SriPa
