Looking for good kindergarten schools in newark Delaware

Hi all,we recently moved to newark Delaware from nj,living in cavalier country club apts.i need some info about elementary schools nearby.heard lot of bad things about public schools here.i have a very sensitive child so feeling little overwhelmed about sending him to a public school.we are not able to decide what to do:drowning.any help would be appreciated.
