    @Iravati
    Thank you for introducing a great man! I left my comment in the site sent by you. I further read from Google that he always ended his show with "Goodnight, thank you, and may your God go with you."
    I liked it immensely!

    A very humorous write up, Sri sir.

    I loved the play on the word "liver". How profound a statement ... "life depends on the liver" I am talking not about the organ but the person doing the living :)
    One can do a number of analyses on this title alone.

    Coming to your club members, i am in deep admiration for the entire lot.
    To make peace with a protesting group is no mean achivement, but too make peace by offerring them the very object of the protest itself is just plain awesome!!:beer-toast1:

    To me the tamil saying, "mulla mullal thaan edukkanum" (removing a thorn with a thorn) worked perfectly here :)

    Keeping in tune with the humor, my husband always sings the song, "chithiram pesudhadi" as "chithi...rum pesudhadi" :)

    Here is a toast for yet another humorous snippet, with beer of course :beer-toast1:.

    I generally recommend stuff with trepidation.

    Because I am often countered with a ‘who reads such stuff’ rather than a ‘how could someone not be tingled at such fun’. I have 3-4 chosen victims whose ears I chew off with excitement, this, this ... this ... this … is mind-blowing yet at the other end they get to hear some unexciting theremin played by a stoic musician.

    Phew! I am glad you liked Dave Allen. Such trademarks and catchwords lure me as well.

    My dear kkrish
    A great statement there but to tell you the truth, this kind of resourcefulness is entirely Indian. We never question why it should be removed by another thorn and not be a sterilized needle. Such 'antiseptic' guys make lives a big bore! My maternal grandma was our family doctor for such minor problems. Her line of treatment may sound crude in today's enlightened environment but her remedies were 100% success always.
    That must be quite a sober rum to be merely talking. Here they sing outrageously!

    @kkrish
    In my original response to you, I had spelled 'sober' as "sobur'. Only when I am sober, I make this kind of mistake. I have corrected the mistake in all places!

    Hehe! More on Irish devilry on my return.

    Holidays, travel, and visitors at my end. Will be back in few days to catch up with your blog as Iravati or spot-me-if-you-can Waldo Demara 'The Great Imposter'. Take care.
