Lets Our Dreams Come True By Loosing Weight

    Hi all
    I would like to join with you all. I am already in the journey of weight loss and lost around 14 kg last year. Still I am in the Journey till I reach my ideal and goal weight.

    My initial weight(Last year) : 81.7 kg(180 lbs)
    My current weight(now) : 68.1 kg(150 lbs)
    My goal weight : 58 kg(127 lbs)

    Could you please add what did you do to lose weight? How much did you exercise? And diet?

    Exercise : Yoga (for 30 - 40 minutes)(Intermediate yoga not advanced one)
    Jumping Jacks(45 secs - 1 min). Start from 10 seconds
    Squats - 10 times
    Lunges - 10 times
    (or)
    Walking (for 30 - 40 minutes)


    What I followed :-
    1) Drank almost 3 litres of warm water.( I ll start my day with a cup of warm water).
    2) Avoid Foods which is made out of All Purpose Flour(White Bread, Cake, Biscuits, Cookies, Pasta, Noodles etc..)
    3) Avoid deep Fried Foods(once in a while is ok(my weak point)).
    4) Limit Sugar intake.(I had tea in the morning and evening )( 2 tsp sugar)
    5) For Breakfast and Lunch, I almost ate the same food, which I prepare for my husband and Kid.( I had rice everyday for lunch, but pot cooked by straining the starch away) .
    6) For dinner, mostly Phulkas with Grilled veggies/Chicken and Raita.
    7) Be generous in eating Fruits and raw veggies throughout the day.
    8) Prepared some motivation quotes about diet(printed and sticked in my kitchen door).

    Thanks for sharing! I did Baba Ramdev's yoga once and my body felt great. I need to get into practice of doing it daily.

    Hi all
    Count me too.iam here to loose my post natal weight.even before delivery I was on higher side (65 kg).I want to reduce to 60 kg which will be my ideal weight.i think I will be looking good and stay strong and active if I reduce weight.i am here to seek some motivation.
    I reduced 5 kg last year by adding fruits for breakfast and walking for 40 min.i was able to reduce 1kg per month.i think the same will help me this time too
    New things which I added is
    I take my coffee with out sugar
    I go for fast walking in morning for 45 min
    I included soups
    Current weight -73.5
    Goal -60 kg

    Nice to see so many joined this thread....Welcome all...
    here is my week activity.
    I am just writing the exercise.
    Monday : 300 calories ( elliptical 45 minutes)
    Tuesday :No exercise
    Wednesday: 310 calories ( Eliptical )
    Thursday : 300 calories ( elliptical )
    Friday: 300 calories ( Eliptical ).

    Food wise was Okay, but today Friday night ate chapaties along with rice. The other days I am okay with what I am eating... I don't want to cut everything at one time and stave.. but I keep doing the exercises which is good ...

    Planning to burn 600 calories sat and Sundays as get some time to do some extra exercise.

    Keep it up and keep motivating each other... we can do it....

    Simple ways to cut calories

    1. Say "no" to sugar and honey. Grind cinnamon sticks and use as sugar.

    2. Zero cream, milk, etc, etc in coffee, tea. Zero.

    3. No to spreads on toast, roti, naan

    4. If you have a severe sweet craving, eat dates. They have lot of sugar and calories (100 calories a piece), yet low glycemic index

    5. Measure food in small bowls and plates.

    6. If you are hungry, measure a small teaspoon of natural peanut butter (made of only peanuts, will have oily residue)

    Remember there are 3500 calories in one pound

    If you cut 50 calories a day, in one year you lose 5 pounds
    If you cut 100 calories a day, in one year you lose 10 pounds

    Try the math!

    Jan 6th... burned 650 calories.... food wise I think I ate not too much.. but okay.. had 2 times coffee with sugar...
    I will weigh Monday morning and post it..
