    New to IL. The forum seems really interesting.Its been a couple of weeks i have moved to manchester connecticut.Would like to make friends ,learn something new ,share views.Hope i would make many friends here .

    Hi all, I am Sara. And I am the new member of the Indus ladies. Hope, I am going to have a good time here. And I need some help in getting an h4 visa. I am going to get married this October and my fiance is in use on h1 visa and he will get about 3 weeks of time as a leave for marriage and when should I apply for an h4 visa if I want to leave Chennai at least in November if not with him.

    Hi saranee,Congrats on your marriage.you have two options. 1.keep all the documents ready for H4 tell your fiance to send you a list and you can apply within that 3 week time period,but you have to make the visa appointment before two months(i did this).
    you need marriage certificate.other than that all documents are collectibles.

    2. If your fiance is still in chennai then you can think about register marriage in india at before your official wedding and start the process within the time frame ---- if you think it will be delayed.
    but mostly you will be okay with 1st option.
