    The answers to this puzzle:

    1) Image 1 - Flag - This is the flag of East India company.
    2) Image 2 - Tax burden - It is tax burden that resulted in the two protests that this puzzle was supposed to solve.

The above two are common for both solutions.

First set of 4 images consists of Republican Party Symbol, the Keyword is "Party". In the image of Tetley carton, the keyword is "Tea". In the other two images consist of Tonne and Boss, the keyword is "Boston". All of these images together reveals "Boston Tea Party", the dumping of Tea imported to the colonies by the British government as a protest towards tax levied on Tea resulted in American Revolution and eventual "Declaration of Independence".

Second set of 2 images are relative simple. The key words are "Salt" and "March" together forming "Salt March" that happened in Dandy to protest against tax on Salt levied by the British government on Indian colony. This protest of non-cooperation became a strong movement resulting in Indian independence.

Only contrast is one dumped the tea belonging to the British government as a protest while other protest created salt from the ocean that was located in India to protest import of salt which was taxed.

Special thanks to @Kovachn for being an inspiration for combining two historic event into one puzzle.

I like this part; the idea of the connection puzzle is to observe and conclude on the similarities, contrasts, oddities, and ironies the events may or may not share with each other. I got the "base for independence" link but had missed noting this contrast. Interesting thought there; good one! :wink1:
