Your answer is correct @Thyagarajan Sir which you gave in a spoiler. It is an implied understanding among neurites that when the puzzle-maker likes the answer, it is tacit confirmation of the correct answer. But you have revealed the answer through the photo you shared in plain sight. I hope no one is working on the puzzle as yet.

I am sorry I missed your response. I learned my lesson to wait for 2-3 days before posting a new puzzle as neurites make good points about the old puzzle.

I agree. We need to leave ‘fallow’ days for people to discuss the puzzle after the answer is posted. I was barely done typing up my responses to the solvers when you posted the new puzzle. The puzzle maker should get some time to enjoy the discussions before we move on. : ) Too many puzzles in quick succession will leave people feeling burned out. My ideal pace would be one puzzle every 10 days or so.

I couldn't agree more. I agree 3 puzzles a month is a decent number to target.

Okay I’ll give it a day or two after Viswa posts the answer to post my puzzle.

    Answer to puzzle #8832

"Swami Vivekananda's speech in Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893"

Row 1, Image 1 - Actual photo of the participants taken in 1893
Row 1, Image 2 - PM Modi doing Yoga as Swami Vivekananda spread Yoga in the western world
Row 1, Image 3 - Vivek Oberoi to give a hint of the name of the participant
Row 2, Image 1 - Vedanta in a smart phone to as Vivekanananda spread Vedanta in the western world
Row 2, Image 2 (party image)- Ananda Temple in Myanmar - Vivek (Oberoi)+ Ananda (Temple) = Vivekananda
Row 2, Image 2 (part image)- Rasagulla to indicate the participant is from Calcutta
Row 2, Image 3 - Image of Transcendental meditation as Swami Vivekananda is well known for his trance capabilities

Thank you for everyone who participated. Credit to solvers @jskls, @deepthyanoop, @Gauri03, @svpriya, @Srama, @Laks09, @1sandya and @Thyagarajan Sir. Please forgive me if I have missed anyone.

    Double hints:
Row 1, Image 2 - PM Modi's image has another clue as his first name is the original name of Swami Vivekanananda
Row 1, Image 3 - Vivek Oberoi's father being an ordant follower of the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, he named his son as Vivekananda Oberoi. When he acted in movies, he didn't want to use his Guru's full name as he needs to dance with the heroines and hence shortened his name as Vivek. He is also acting in a biopic (international web series) of Swami Vivekananda .

I used Vivek + Vedanta + Yoga + Meditation as my keywords. Immediately landed on Vivekananda. From there I figured the assembly picture might be from his speech. Searched for the assembly of religions photos and confirmed that clue. I guessed that the rasogolla image was hinting at a Bangla connection though I wasn't sure. For a moment thought Gits had something to do with the Gita. : ) I couldn't place the temple at all until you told me. I kept searching for pictures of the Ramakrishna mission and Kali bari and Kamakhya Devi...desperately trying to make a connection with Vivekananda. Thanks for the puzzle Viswa. I enjoyed working it out!

Looking forward to your puzzle @1Sandhya !

    @Gauri03,

I was wondering myself what image clue I can give for Ananda and bumped on this temple image. I read all about it out of curiosity before I included it as one of the images. I was struggling to decide what to include for the parliament of the world religions. I decided to include that black and white image as a direct clue. I was very happy when some of the neurites directly identified the image right away.

Since this speech brought awareness about the Yoga and Vedanta in the US, I decided to include those two clues.

That was a good clue for Ananda. Once you told me the name I recognized it right away. It is a pretty famous temple. Another one that might have worked is actor Dev Anand. Finding just the right image for a word is such a fun process. Not too obvious, yet not so obscure that it becomes frustrating. I really enjoy it. : )
