Lentil Pancakes - The lovely round beauties.

    I like shiva's low cal receipes. Here is one
    1 cup wheat rava
    vege - chopped 1 cup
    green chilly or red chilly 4
    salt to taste
    onion - 1
    tomato -1
    oil 2 tsp
    Fry wheat rawa. Heat oil in the pan add oion, tomato, chiilies, add vege and salt add rawa mix it well. add 3 cups boiled water. Mix it well in a slow flame . cover it and cook it 15 mins.

    Nice recipie and great pictures. Will try this.Have you tried making with oil spray instead of oil.
    Are those plates from IKEA? I have the same for my kids:)

    I am glad you liked the recipe. I use very little oil and let the pancake cook till they get crisp. Lot of oil is not required to make them crisp (1/2 to 1/4 tsp oil per pancake is enough).

    Yessss they are Ikea plates, we got them because they are microwavable. I like them so much.

    Hi Shiva,

    I have been following your blog for quite sometime. I will post my story in your blog in a few days. This is about the lentil pancakes which I made this weekend.:)

    I had used green moong dal for it. It came out very well.The best part was that initially when I started making it for my FIL(My in-laws stay with us) I used 2-3 drops of oil and by the time I made my own pancake, the non - stick pan was already non sticky. So I didn't use even i single drop of oil for my pancakes.:)
    I had this for dinner on both Sat and Sunday evening. I made tomato-coriander chutney to go along with it and the combo was too good. :thumbsup

    Thanks a lot for such a healthy , oil-free recipe. I am going to try the dhuli moong dal today for my dinner.

    BTW Shiva, Do u know the calorie content of this pancake? How many do u eat for ur dinner?

    I did not calculate the calorie amount. I have 1 or 2 depending on my hunger but never more.
