    Try Thakurdas near LIC,Mt.Road

Next to sowcarpet few shops in Parrys Corner are good

Interior Purasaiwalkam has 'n' number of stores for these, but people used to that area can alone help...I have heard through my neighbours

The SKC in Purasai stocks those north indian kind of collections(designer sarees, lehengas and so on)..check with them if possible

    Brinda,

Varsidhi has them. A friend of mine, bought it there. Hers is bandhini, not exactly simple but definitely not overtly grand too. I think it is also their branch at purshawalkam.

    Brindha,

Takurdas stocks them in rolls. You could get Mix and Match stuff in synthetic rather than finding the same old cottons in Nalli, pothys and pantheon road.Takurdas is the cheapest for Mix and Match stuff.

I think Iam out of the track!:bonk

    Cindhu,

True. If you visit Varsidhi in T Nagar and in Purash, there is a huge difference.

    Brinda,

You do get simple ones. Also, I think the Thakurdas is a excellent idea, ifyou can get a tailor to stitch it ( Now, dont ask me for one - I only know of a guy in sowcarpet). Varsidhi stitches lehngas if you buy materials from them
