Can any one tell me some good shops other than sowcarpet... to buy Lengha materials at moderate cost... This is not for any occasion so pls tell me where i can purchase in moderate cost..
Try Thakurdas near LIC,Mt.Road Next to sowcarpet few shops in Parrys Corner are good Interior Purasaiwalkam has 'n' number of stores for these, but people used to that area can alone help...I have heard through my neighbours The SKC in Purasai stocks those north indian kind of collections(designer sarees, lehengas and so on)..check with them if possible
Brinda, Varsidhi has them. A friend of mine, bought it there. Hers is bandhini, not exactly simple but definitely not overtly grand too. I think it is also their branch at purshawalkam. Arch
Thanks Archana.. I will try in Varshidhi Tnagar itself it was some what near to me... Also i am looking for material which not too grand.. hope i will get it in varshidhi...
Brindha, Takurdas stocks them in rolls. You could get Mix and Match stuff in synthetic rather than finding the same old cottons in Nalli, pothys and pantheon road.Takurdas is the cheapest for Mix and Match stuff. I think Iam out of the track!:bonk
Brinda..Most of the stores in T.nagar has an outlet in Purasai too.. the main difference is with the patterns they stock..demography plays an imortant role
Cindhu, True. If you visit Varsidhi in T Nagar and in Purash, there is a huge difference. Brinda, You do get simple ones. Also, I think the Thakurdas is a excellent idea, ifyou can get a tailor to stitch it ( Now, dont ask me for one - I only know of a guy in sowcarpet). Varsidhi stitches lehngas if you buy materials from them Arch
Thanks RG and Cindhuja for stepping in and answering... Archana No i wont ask u for a tailor because i have one excellent tailor
Takurdas was new to me... have to check there also.. Day by day my shopping list/ shops increasing.. But my DH is busy to take me to all list i have ... Have to plan with friends may be..
