This should be your hair care routine.
1) pre poo. Means apply oil on your hair before shampoo. 1hour before or day before shampoo should be okay
2) shampoo process - buy good curly hair shampoo. True frog, ashba botanics(so far my favorite), curlupdotcom, arata , letscurlup are my recommendations. All these will be available in sublime official website.. They do international shipping I'm guessing. Do not use plain shampoo on your hair. It'll strip away the oil. Put shampoo on your palm, mix a lil water and then gently massage the scalp. Shampoo need not be applied along the length of hair. Roots and scalp is fine.
3) conditioner : buy good conditioner of above brands. Again ashba is my personal favorite. Take more conditioner and apply along the length. Conditioner not required on scalp and root. Apply along the length. Keep it for a while. I keep for 10-15 mins. Until my body wash is done. I wash my body as slowly as possible when I have my conditioner. Rinse with almost cold water. A free conditioner remove all knots from your hair.
4) on ultra wet hair use curly hair cream and
Remove all remaining knots from hair. Scrunching can be done at this point if you want to skip applying hair gel. If u t going with hair gel scrunch after applying hair gel
5) apply hair gel. In hair gel letscurlupdotcom is my favourite. Style your hair as u wish. I scrunch scrunch and scrunch and very rarely I do other styling. Like rolling my hair like noodles.
Lastly you need to use a soft towel and tie or hair. Generally I skip the towel and use hair diffuser to remove dripping water and allow my hair to air dry naturally.
I'll enjoy my curls for next 2-3 days without combining my hair
Some other maintenance:
1) use satin pillow or satin bonnet when u sleep
2) use satin hair hair products only. Like satin rubber band etc.

It is a lot to research

I use Sulfate-Free Loreal Shampoo. i don't use conditioner, but instead use cold-pressed coconut oil on my hair after I wash

I'm afraid of applying oil to scalp before wash. I heard that pollutants from environment get in your scalp and if you massage with any type of oil it will cause hair loss. Is this true? I hope not because I would rather like to apply to my hair BEFORE wash and AFTER wash.

Your post is very thorough and detailed and I will incorporate as many points as possible.
