    dear usha,
nice post....now only if life were as simple as lemon rice...i too am not an absolute stickler to recipes......i modify it to what is readily available at home and not very spicy as my fly likes it that way......now with age i take all types of ppl too in my own stride...and do not judge anybody.......tolerance has surely come with age...besides the grey hairs,i am glad to say...

Thanks Mindian. I agree with you that age has definitely brought on more tolerance in me. The thought that all God's human creations are actors who are here to play different roles, helps to accept people as they are without judging..
    Thanks for stepping in..

    Dear Usha,

Lemon rice without the turmeric [IMG]?
Well just as that rice was accepted by your family members when they had no other go...so is the case, with people.
We find ourselves, commenting or critizing someone whom we know in our family. But when it comes to a situation where, we certainly need their help, we put aside all those things that irritates us about them bonk.

Yes, it would be better if we learn to accept them as they are from the beginning.

    Dear Usha,

Super compariosion of rice and nature.

Yes i agree, we all have our plus andminus points. What is the point in trying to change another person, why not accept the person , warts and all.

I have many workers in office who have so many different and dificult habits. We have a pattern maker master, who eats paan and sopits in the sink, choking them.HAHA.We tried everything to tell this brilliant otherwise fellow, but well, he slips back into teh old habit.

I have learnt to accept that outside food which we eat at weddings spoil the stomach, but have to accept it, and eat it.

    Good blog, loved it.Regards.kamal

    Dear Kamalji

Thanks for stepping in and giving a valuable FB.
As we get older, I think we get tired of expecting changes in others and hence acceptance comes naturally, I guess.

    Regards

    Dear Usha

Good post. I accept the food and people. In my husband's
family my brother in law has so many things which he does
not like. He is a good cook himself so very difficult to please
him. In that case my husband accepts in whatever way
    I make.

    Dear Viji

glad you liked it. I wonder if people who are picky about food are choosy about people too? Is there a connection there?
My hubby too used to be picky about food, but after living with me ,has learnt to accept most everything as long as it is on time.
    Thanks for writing.
