Ok. The Linux idea was good but I'm wondering how to go about it. When will i ever find the time to read up all this stuff and get it done???

It is me again, but can you have a guy who assembles/repair comps to install Linux. How about computer shops, a lot of new systems come pre-loaded with Linux nowadays given the issues with windows. The OS we used was called Ubuntu. There is something called the linux news weekly... lwn.net is their site. It does involve an initial investment of time an dI can understand how difficult it would be for you to find that time with a career and a toddler :).

I actually looked at Ubuntu and liked what I saw. We do have a local computer guy (our current desktop is an assembled thing from them) so yes I could ask them to do it. I just want to know more first myself and finding the time for that - you know....

You must have a lot on your plate with a toddler and your work. Ubuntu is fun, I do hope you find the time.
