    I miscarried (at 3 to 5 weeks) in November of 2006 and quickly got pregnant again;
    within 2-3 weeks.

    I am told that first-timers go through a very long labor, and I'm wondering if it may be different for me because I miscarried right before.

    Many women have also told me about feeling braxton-hicks and I'm not really feeling much of anything. I feel some lower abdominal pains but nothing much and very, VERY rarely.

    Does anyone have any information, or has anyone had an experience where they miscarried right before getting pregnant again, that they can share with me?

    It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

    Hi,
    I have miscarried twice (once i had an ectopic pregnancy and had to go through Laproscopic surgery, the second time it was a D&C at 6 weeks) and am pregnant in my 8th month now.
    As far as my knowledge goes there is no problem. I too still am not having any Braxton Hicks contractions, and just like you experience pain in my abdomen occasionally. I have confirmed with more than one doctor many a times, and they say... you dont need to necessarily feel them. also... if you had miscarried in your first trimester previously.. the current pregnancy is almost treated like your first pregnancy.

    hope this clarifies..

    Love,

    Hi,

    I had 2 missed abortions (8 weeks) before my son. Nothing to worry about it. Infact my doc told me that many women have an abortion when conceived for the first time. And about braxton-kicks... i only read them in books. When i went for check-up (the last few weeks) my doctor was surprised that i didn't feel any contractions as she could feel it when she checked. I only felt the muscles stretching. So don't worry at all. As long as your doctor is happy with your progress stay calm and enjoy the pregnancy:) all the best!
