L2 visa holders looking for jobs in Finance

Hi,

I am a L2 visa holder and got my EAD last week, looking for a job in the Accounting and Finance field in US (near Delaware). Any suggestions on how to go about it? Do we contact consultants directly here? If so, anyone know of any consultants?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Ramya,

Best way forward would be to first create your resume, and post it in job searching sites like monster.com, jobsdb.com, indeed.com etc (as many sites as possible).

Also, apply for jobs using these sites, and directly through their websites. Soon, you would start receiving calls & emails from consultants / clients. This is the way, I did it, and most of my friends who had a valid work-visa did too.

Hello Ramya,

So, were u able to find job?
I m also concerned and confused, should I shift with my husband to Texas, on L2.
How is the job scenario there ?
I can take teaching job or in an IT firm.I have 1 year experience in IT firm and 8 month lectureship.

Hi...yes i got a temp job in a very good company. I think the market is good for people who keep their focus and do not get discouraged fast. It will take time but there are enough openings out there for everyone.

Hi Ramaya I surely need some help from you. I shall be moving to Atlanta US in a couple of months. I am also a finance MBA and have only one year of work experience in INDIA in an MNC. I shall be going in a L2 visa. I wish to know from you what are my chances of getting job there. Shall there be any vacencies even contractual. Please reply I am having sleepless nights with the thought of end of my career
