kutch work

    Its looks wonderful.
    can you share how you printed the design on the dress.
    I am also doing Kutch work on my daugtehrs dress and in the middle i am not able to get the net design as on the corners.

    Thanks Suseela. I used chappa powder and kerosene to print the design. But u can use carbon paper also. Use mat weaving technique to get the net design.

    Hi Nandu,,

    Really beautiful work..Wats this chappa powder? I use kumkum and charcoal oil ( since kerosene is not available here) . but kumkum cant be used in dark colours..Is there any alternative?

    Chappa powder is a kind of powder for printing.It is available in three colours like black,white and yellow. Instead of kerosene u can use thinner for printing.u can see the printing used by thinner under the thread "alternative of kerosene".
