    My dear friends,

Having a heart attack is said to be one of the most painful experiences one could have—a twisting, clenching feeling sensation that is nearly unbearable.
However, many people mistake this sensation for being a heart attack when in fact, they are only experiencing common heartburn.
On the other hand, other people mistake a true heart attack for heartburn.

The symptoms of heartburn vs. those of a heart attack are quite similar.
However, knowing the difference between these two occurrences is very important.
It is so important, it might even save your life.

What Are The Symptoms Of Heartburn Vs. A Heart Attack?
Heartburn is a condition that is typically associated with a painful and burning sensation felt in the chest or abdomen.
Unlike during a heart attack, heartburn frequently leads to vomiting.
Heartburn symptoms are usually caused by diet—it usually affects people after they have eaten spicy food, or after they have consumed a large meal.
Heartburn can usually be soothed with an antacid tablet.

What Are The Symptoms Of A Heart Attack?
A heart attack is characterized by a tightness or pressure felt in the chest.
However, it is not only felt in the chest, but can be felt in the neck, face, shoulders, and arms as well.
Shortness of breath and sweating often accompany a heart attack, vs. heartburn where these symptoms do not occur.
Generally the onset of a heart attack is usually brought on by stress or exertion.

    Better Safe Than Sorry
Although the differences between the symptoms of heartburn vs. those of a heart attack might seem obvious, the truth is that many people confuse these symptoms. This can be dangerous, because it could lead to one of two situations.
The first situation that might occur as a result of a lapse in knowledge is an unnecessary visit to the hospital.
If you experience what you think is a heart attack, when in fact you are only suffering from heartburn, this could result in a huge waste of time—both yours and your doctors.

However, the other situation that might occur if you cannot distinguish the difference between heartburn vs. heart attack symptoms is the possibility that you might ignore a heart attack, thinking that it is only heartburn.
This is a very dangerous situation that could have deadly results.

Most people who experience symptoms would rather be safe than sorry, and if they are unable to tell the difference between heartburn vs. heart attack symptoms, they go to the hospital to be on the safe side.
It is especially important to air on the side of caution if you have a history of heart disease or angina.

    Doctor Knows Best
If you experience symptoms, you should assess them to determine what type of incident you are experiencing.
If there is any chance at all that you are experiencing a heart attack, then you should consult your doctor immediately.
