My mom is 45 years old and she is getting the knee pain for the past 20 days. We've gone to the doctor. But didn't get good result on that. She is getting the pain all the time. Her health is in good condition and this is the first time she is getting this pain. Please help us to solve her problem..

    Hi Uma,

Are you taking her to an Orthopedic. General Physician will not help. And we as members will give you advice of articles read all over and thats not the solution. You should take her to an Orthopaedic. It may be due to Osteoporosis which usually is a disease creeping up in humans with progress of age.

    Hi Uma,

Ask your mother to go for a walk daily for minimum 20 mnts., if i cant i do spot jogging at home only for 15 mnts. and a bit yoga like butterfly.

Ask her to reduce weight if she is overweight.

First get her examined by a good orthopaedic surgeon.minimal investigations like blood sugar .blood uric acid and an xray of both knee joints is a must. Is she having any swelling of knees?

No. She doesn't have anything like that. A constant pain in the knee.

    Thanks,

    HI uma,

Another reason for knee pain could be if she has put on weight suddenly..or if she is overweight...or there is an inflammation in the area...if the pain is sudden.....

She is in normal height (~5.5) and she was only 47 before. But for the last 6 months she is in correct weight (55). 8 Kg change will affect the knee point?

    Thanks,
