    newspapaer usage in kitchen

    Hi ILites,
I just want to warn you something.
we ladies after deep frying and frying we put the things in the newspaper .
It is extremely not good for health. The ink meterials and colors contain harmful chemicals which we shouldn't consumeat any amount.SO If you really want to use a paper to remove extra oil from the bujjies etc.please use a tissue paper .If you don't have tissues try to use plain white paper or a clean white cloth.

After all you can't risk your kid's and family's health.

I am just remainding everybody again about this not touse newspaper.

    Krish.

    Re: cilantro fresh...?

    Hi,

I get 4 cilantro bunches per week, trim the stems off, wash it in colander and bowl set with salt and water, drain on cloth/paper towels for 1-2hours.Once it is fully moisture free, roll in a paper towel and store in a ziploc bag.It remains fressh all through the week.Sometimes it runs for two weeks for me if i don't use it much ..And parallelly,i store small amount of cilantro paste for quick curries sometimes.

    Hope this helps u,
    Vaishu

    Hi Sudha,

You can wash, clean and chop the coriander and put it in a zip lock cover or

any plastic box or you can even put them in the box, in which we get pears

and strawberry. (The boxes with holes) And keep the box/ cover in the freezer.

It will be there for more than 6 months. I usually store coriander leaves, Methi

leaves like that. Try and tell.

    Hi Pavithra,

Thanks for your feed back. good that you prepared 'tamarind paste' . Have you prepared 'arachuvitta sambar' on that day? You can use the same masala 'All Purpose Powder' to prepare 'Ready Made Puliyodhara'.

    Waiting for our feed back.

As you said, we will feel happy when we are not wasting any thing.:hiya

    Oh Krishnaamma,

I forgot to post to about arachuvitta sambar. I am sorry.

It was awesome. It really tasted well and had a satisfaction of eating mom made food. I was thanking you from my heart all the time.

I thought I posted about it immly, I am really sorry for missing it out.

It did come out well. Thank you once again.

I shall prepare puliyodarai and do let you know. This weekend we are going to Paris (just for two days to visit). After this I cannot travel, hence going now.
