    Hi Tamil,

Advance Congrats to you.:clap It is good to know that you are a Tamil. I am also Tamil, bhramin. Now I am in Saudi. I saw you thread , about chappati making. As Yamuna said I think you have to keep the heat correctly. dont worry :thumbsup.

As you are 'carrying' I suggest to hear some spritual slogas like Vishnu Sahasranamam, Ranga Padaka Slogam etc., in the evening. That is very good for you and your child. All the best. Take care.:-D Keep smiling.

Thank you very much for your wishes krishnamma.

I listen to Vishnu sahasranamam in the morning.
I feel very tired and sleepy, so I know I myself not getting up early to say some slogams and go for work.

I shall try the chapatis from now on until I succeed :-D

    Hi achu,

First call me Krishnaamma or Sumathi. No madam please.:-D Then second dont worry.

Have you tried to apply vicks?

Is she having caugh with cold? Only cold means we have to check whether she is affected by cold or by over heat? What I want to say is , because of chillness we get cold and even when you are affected by body heat. And in summer also you will get cold because of sweat. Is it not? so first you have to check what type of cold she is having.

Now it is summer so I think she is having cold because of body heat. Are you a Tamilian? Why I ask this is we will give a 'oil bath' when we get cold because of body heat. Do you give her regular oil bath? If you are having the habit of giving oil bath to her means , give alternative days for 2 or three times. Then she will be ok.

Or otherwise, dont try now for the first time. ok?

Try to give banana milk shake to her. Take one banana, cut it, put it in a mixer grinder and blend it with sugar and milk. Just ask her to drink. This will reduce body heat and the cold will go. Try and tell me. If she is not ready to drink the banana milk shake, you can cut banana and put it in the milk and ask her to eat. That will do. Even one more thing is there to try.

Put some cornflakes in abowl and add sugar, banan pieces and milk. Make her to eat.
I think she will like any one of these.:-D

You can apply 'marudhani' / Mehandi in her hand and leg. The leg is important. It will reduce heat of the body.

If it is cold and caugh because of chill weather, you can give milk with a pinch of turmeric powder abd one or two fried and crushed black pepper (fry them in ghee) in the night. and you can give 'dry fig' or 'fresh fig'. You told she is 2 years old. so she can eat the fruit. Or otherwise, you cut one or two dry figs into pieces and put them in the hot milk and stir well till it cooks. Then remove from the stove and add sugar and make her to drink the milk or make her to eat the pieces of fig. ok?

I think this will help you. Please give me a feed back. All the best.
    :-D

Hi achu it is me again,

For black ants I think we can use turmeric powder and Its a household tip.

Another one is mix ant powder (gemaxin) and kerosene make a paste and paint this mix(on the place where you have ants) with the help of a tooth brush. This prevent the ants from entering your house.

But BeCareful because you are having child in home. So beeeeeeeeee careful while using these repellent. Same for cockroach repllent also. Please take care and use these tips.

    Hi Achu,

    One more tip for ants,
I saw this in internet. I dont know how far it will work. Try and tell.

Mix biological washing powder with sugar leave this near the ants entrance and they Will take it back to the queen which will kill it.

After a while no more ants. Also put a line of talc near there entrance and apparently they don`t like crossing lines. sounds crazy but its true.

thanks alot:-D.....for this quick response! i think her cold is due 2 the sudden change of climate here.....winter has slowly started 2 peep in.....[ we can find people down with fever n cold every where:-(] .....n morover she has phlegm / "nenju challi"....will the banana's aggrevate her condition ? - here we dont get the indian variety , we get only the saudi product.....earlier i had given her bananas, she developed a bit of breathg trouble , during nites. so i stopped 'm long back. i 'l try the other thing - milk & turmeric powder + pepper.....she's fond of milk.so she'l surely drink it happily.....i'l keep the figs in mind too......
regarding oil bath -- from the first week of her birth, oil bath is given regularly.....i do give her weekly 3-4 times without fail, even after coming here. but nowadays - since a mnth i rarely give her due 2 this coldattacks :(
    thanks again.....:wave.....
