The title often refers to the endearing term of the name KRISHNA

BUT I am talking about actual KITCHEN, the cooking place at home.

I was brought up in a big joint family of 27 persons.Kitchen was the main
big area engaged 5 Am to 11pm.It satiated the hunger needs of one and all thrice a day. With a mud oven ,
using firewood, amma and patti satisfied all of us .Now there is no firewood,no grindstone. we have
all facilities like gas, electric oven, mixers and grinders. But are the kitchens utilised properly?
A defintite NEGATION is the answer.
Where did those expert women housewives, and grandmas disappear?
See the statistics! We are moving fast in a bullet train..Where are we headed to ?

There is an urge for updation of culture of our country. especially with regard to stomach needs.
I see special programmes in TV channels on cooking and culinary skills. Many
film stars and Tv actors and actresses participate,
The only advantage is the participants become icons and the food items receive the required
    popularity in restaurants.
Family people never seem to follow the methods of cooking. The tongue palatable items with fragrant preservatives and rich calories
lure the young and old and extend an invitation to liver failure
and stone formation in digestive glands.

EASILY IT IS THE CAUSE FOR AFFECTING INSULIN SECRETION RESULTING IN DIABETES.( Though this fact is not scientifically proved)
There is a wrong message that is being spread that traditional Indian food is very rich in calories
This wrong advt makes even educated people very cautious about home made food. .
Another factor is instant delivery that makes things more attractive though one has to pay 60% more.
Town planning authorities make the small grocery vendors vacate the spot making easier for super markets to grow, advertise, add sufficient preservatives to increase the shelf life of groceries and pre processed foods,

Actualy these preservatives extend a warm welcome to major diseases of concern.
In the name of hospitality, these companies are smart enough to lure public and drag them away from our home kitchen culture.
Vaasthu experts give additional information reg vaasthu sastra and satisfaction of vaasthu purusha. What are these sastras for ,if the kitchen remains unused for days and months?
The cost of eroding the culture is irreversible and will cause lot of damage to the healthy development of our nation.

No doubt employed women are on the increase..But it does not mean that they have to slacken their responsibility of bringing up healthy children to make healthy India. They can very well utilise all modern gadjets but let them not forget their prime duty of preparing food at home by spending two hrs a day.

what is the use of large amts of wealth, if the children are unhealthy and suffer from severe ailments?
Dear women, please consider.I am not against empowerment of women.but let us not slip back from our prime duty. We have to train both our sons and daughters in the art of

preparing healthy food not depending on the business focussed restaurants.
BRING IN HEALTHY FOOD! BRING IN HEALTHY INDIA! SAY A STRICT NO to frequent restaurant visits though occasional relaxation is welcome.
Once this healthy habit is installed,it will be a foundation for healthy india for centuries.

With the arrival of food aggregators like swiggy and zomato, kitchen work all over India is much reduced. People love warm food packed in aluminium foil and in sealed plastic containers.

It is said micro plastic enters the guts via the hot-food that are aesthetically packed in plastic pouches. Some kind of a gas is released from every kind of plastic and its molecules are carcinogenic.

Though they call it edible and virgin for the sake of business, all plastics do contain tiny toxic fraction seemingly insignificant yet can cause damage delicate organs. But the world is using left and right and centre use plastic rigid and flexible.

Even moder rodents enjoy eatng plastic buckets.

Who cares for longevity? A friend of mine refused medicines to manage sugar stating “ why should I deny sweets just to live long. I don’t wish life propped up to live tasteless bland foods? Let me enjoy rest of life eating whatever I like”.

He even felt, the empty capsule in which chemical compounds stored to release the mix by and by in the gut would cause cancer! I saw him crushing in mouth and swallowing only the liquid garlic and fish oil and spit out the capsule shell.

Kitchen extinguished almost all over the world. At best oven used once or twice in a week. Frozen food is convenient in USA. All certified food contains safe level poison! Safe for whom? Poison is poison. R
Fresh food and fruits loathed! Is it inertia or money making pressure that people are away from kitchen?

:hello:I came across a message in web . I presume it is contemplative. Copied below:

For us India, the biggest hobby in life is food. My American sister-in-law is always amazed when she comes to India.

She says in a truly mocking tone, "You people start thinking about lunch as soon as you finish breakfast, and after lunch, you start worrying about dinner!"

Now, look at European food. Their breakfast is, at most, a slice of bread, an egg, and a cup of coffee. For lunch, a salad or a sandwich, and for dinner, a light soup or pasta.

On the other hand, look at our situation: breakfast starts with parathas, naan with chickpeas, and halwa poori. Lunch includes biryani, karahi, and nihari; in the evening, samosas and pakoras; and at night, qorma, chapati, and dessert.

On top of that, there's a separate account for tea.

The difference is clear. They eat to live, and we live to enjoy eating.

Aisha (the sister-in-law) says that in America, women don't have the same burden of the kitchen as in India.

In India, there must be at least one woman in every house who spends all day in the kitchen, just cooking and serving.

Whereas in America, every member of the household is capable of managing their own meals and is financially independent.

Remember, life is not for eating, but for health and peace.
    Copied portion ended here.

:hello: During a TV show, a renowned celebrity chef was being interviewed. The host asked, “Chef, why is it that food in five-star hotels is so expensive, yet the food from street vendors or roadside stalls tastes much better?”

Without hesitation, the chef replied, “Because street vendors don’t have freezers.”

The host, surprised, asked, “What do freezers have to do with food?”

The chef explained that in big hotels, vegetable gravies are prepared in advance and stored in deep freezers, where they can last for about a month. When an order comes in, they use the stored gravy to prepare the dish.

“But street vendors,” he continued, “make fresh food every day with fresh vegetables, and no chef in the world, no matter how skilled, can match the taste of freshly cooked food.”

The host remarked, “So, even after paying more, we’re getting stale food?”

The chef replied, “Exactly, you’ve got it right.”
