Kids born in US : Studying in Chennai

Hi IL'ites,

I searched in IL for this info , but could not find any solid answer to this.

If a child is born in US , and later we decide to go to India for good, then will the schools in chennai charge more fee (because the child is NRI ) ?

Can someone please clarify this doubt for me ?

If this is not the correct forum to ask this,please let me know i'll post this in Chennai forum .

Hi,
Lots of schools def charge more fees if the kid is not born in india not all.But def all the colleges charge more and they come under NRI quota.I think u need to check with the school.

If you look at ordinary schools they charge the same fee as others.If you going at some schools like PSBB,i think they have an NRI fees.

Manjulats, I heard PSBB millineum schools charge around 65k(30k donation or whatever they call plus 3 term fees of 12k)

If that is the case, do you know how much extra they charge for NRI kids?

Please share your information on this..

I am not sure how much extra they charge for kids.I just heard that there is a NRI quota.

Aschool(chetinnad groups) has a fees of 25k(regular fees,not donation).One of our family member is studying there who was born in U.S
