Kidney Transplantation

    Can any doctors/other knowledgeable person in IL please answer this question?

    For Kindney transplantation, I knew doctors run a lot of tests for tissue matching and other matches. Does blood group of donor/recipient to be the same? Say if the recipient is a B-Ve blood group, the donor also has to be B-Ve or the donor can be any blood group and we have advanced medications now to take care of the blood group mismatch after the transplantation. Your answers mean a lot to me, please provide me your valuables answers to help a suffering in my family.
