Khushwant Singh, grand old man of Indian literature, dies

Here is an obituary written by Kushwant for himself, several years back :
"In sober mood I worry, work and think
In drunken mood, I gamble, fight and drink
When all my moods are over, and the worst has come to pass
I hope they bury me upside down
So my critics can kiss my a**" :-D :-D

Khushwant Singhji is very well known author in north India.
i have or years read his column in The Tribune a Chandigarh based newspaper.....he ,through his column introduced me to varied topic be it gossip about well known people, his annual travel to Kasauli(near my home town )in Himachal, his regular visitors in Delhi, his long homely remedies(I swear his fenugreek water treatment cured me of rheumatoid arthritis ) and so on...........

the best was how he used to end his column with jokes contributed by readers but selected by him ......

he will be missed by millions,me among them.....

you know he was my idol. i just bought and read his book khuswant nama, aout how to live life. And i like his way of thinking, people hate his habit opf nonveg, drinks and looking at girls, i do all the three, but is wrong if u do it with your own money?

i liked his independence, and his ability to keep productive right till the end, and i love his orbituary, which i was not aware of, but really a good one, thanks for bringing it here.

My orbituary will be like this

Kamalji went many a mile ,
    to make everyone smile.

    HAHA
