    dear Shubag, they are not the same. Kutch work is originated in Gugarat state,,in kutch emb we taje 3 strands of the thread and in k.kasuthi only one.in kauthi emb you cannot see the difference bet the designs right and wrong sides look alike.

    hi sharada,
    thanks for ur reply and wanted to know the strands of the thread used in the embroidery, i used to take one strand i mean full thread itself didnt divide it and did the stitches, but in kamal work i used to take 4 strands. u said that for kasuti have to take only one strand it means single thread of the whole emb. thread(6 threads are thier). please clarify my question. waiting for ur reply.
