Kanya/Kalyana and Padi Kolams..Share yours :-)

these are not padi kolams...just few that i drew for krishnajayanti inside my house...drew few more (similar small ones) but forgot to take a snap...this is the first krishnajayanti for which i drew kolams both inside and outside my house...my MIL was very happy with my kolams and hence she gave charge to me...hehehe

the 4th one was the place where we kept Load Krishna's idol...

and the 5th is at the entrance...and my DD helped me by keeping her first print......she dint allow further as the rice flour mix was sticky..hehehe

Padi kolams are basically traditional kolams that are drawn on special occassions... the kolam will be drawn with only lines(straight/curved).. most of the brahmins in tamilnadu used to draw this type of rangoli... famous in TN
Basically drawn only using rice flour and kavi(red colour powder)...
they can also be called as kanya/kalyana kolams....but these are little big ones...
Padi kolams can also be small...we draw small padi kolams on fridays...

thanks padhmu..but sorry i am not an expert :bonk..this is the second time i am drawing some small maa kolams(other than the borders which i have done few times)
