    I am from North India so I don't know the names of these flowers but they are beautiful . What is the name in english may be we can get them here in US . Thanks for sharing with us .

    the first flower is called Crossandra or firecracker flower
    the third one is canna,
    the last one,i think, is Phillipine violet. in hindi it is called vajra danti.

    these flowers are beautiful for sure,but lack fragrance .maybe that's what keeps some away from them...just a guess..

    Beautiful flowers ! Nice to know you are from chennai too ! Do you know if kanagambaram grows in the shade ? I live in an apartment and my balcony is really hot, faces the road - but no direct sunlight ! And I dont have any rooftop also.
