Recently, I've fallen head over heels for all things Korean – from K beauty to K Dramas, I'm an unabashed fan.

Today, I want to shine a spotlight on K Dramas.

It all began innocently enough with a drama called 'Crash Landing on You,' and from that moment, I was hooked! A slew of K Dramas followed, each captivating my attention – 'Boys over Flowers,' 'Sky High,' 'Romance is a Bonus Book,' 'The King: Eternal Monarch,' 'Business Proposal,' 'Squid Games,' just to name a few. I became so engrossed in the stories that I even picked up a few sentences in Korean!

Now, you might be wondering, what's the purpose of this piece?

We all have our own life dramas. But, for a moment, let's set those aside and immerse ourselves in the world of K Dramas. They're incredibly romantic, and it got me thinking: husbands should take a leaf or two out of their book and put it into practice. Just because one is married, has kids, or lives with extended family doesn't mean life has to become mechanical, monotonous, or dull. Love should be in the air and every day at that!

For those who claim they can't be creative or original, fear not. Husbands, at any stage or age, could draw inspiration from K Dramas. Wives are not looking for originality – they would equally love for you to emulate K Dramas and re-court them just like that! Be spontaneous, be romantic, and let the K Drama magic infuse your love life.

Remember the first time you laid your eyes on her? Feel that special feeling every day for the rest of your life. Rest assured you will see a side of your wife that you have long forgotten.

It's time to bring some of that enchanting Korean romance right into your own homes and let love's flames burn brighter than ever before.

I have heard a lot about the k dramas too. But I think I was a fan way in the past.. with a movie called seducing mr perfect. I watched it so many times. But do you find these on netflix? Anything from amazon prime?

For me, that perfect world comes from the hallmark movies. All too perfect but suits the heart and the brain.

Netflix has a ton of K Dramas. Start with Boys over Flowers, go on to Crash landing on me, Romance is a bonus book, Business Proposal, King the eternal monarch, King the land and the list goes on..

True that Hallmark movies depict an ideal American world full of happiness and positivity. However, at times, thats just what one needs!!

I also swooned over crash landing on you. Business proposal and do do sol sol were my favorites apart from Crash Landing on you. Just recently watched king the land, come on! It was so stereotypical, the same template followed in each and every scene. Lead pair eat together, work together, travel together, share a kiss in every other episode!
Try watching 100 days my prince, it was really good and emotional!
My husband cannot even be as romantical as tamil serial heroes, let alone k-dramas! Thats a dream that will never get full filled in this jenmam!

    Dear Gamma50,

Nice snippet. You have got me curious and I am going to watch these romantic K movies.
When I was deeply in love and wanted to get married, my uncle said "everything is good when you are in love, but when you get married Love flies out of the window". He said I was in a Maya and marriage would change it. I cannot say how true he was.
With life's challenges, we forgot we had some great times together and the best was when I love.
In my times, to tell someone you had a boyfriend was a taboo. No one in my office had an inkling about my boyfriend. One valentines day, I get a call to come to the front desk as there is a courier for me. I went there and there was this huge bouquet of flowers about 4 feet in height with the most colourful flowers. The placard said "to the love of me". I was blushing so much with the looks and smiles everyone were giving me.
I still think of this and feel happy.
But I wonder where this romance went.
Not only should I watch K movies, but make my husband watch too

I just stumbled across this thread! I too am a fan of K-pop, k-drama and of course, their skincare is *chef's kiss*!
Right now I am watching Crash Course in Romance. It is a bit slow, but it's really good so far.
If someone wants to watch a light-hearted, rib-tickling romance, I would also add Strong Woman Do Bong to the list.

Something funny.. today is the death anniversary of renowned Hindi music director Sachin Dev Burman. I was compiling a quiz of his songs and used this rare picture of him holding R.D. Burman. I kept thinking the man in the picture looks oddly familiar... then I realized he sort of looks like Hyun Bin (Captain Ri) who was blessed with a baby boy a year ago.

Reading about the apparent suicide of Korean actor Lee Sun-Kyun was very shocking. He was more known for his role in Parasite but I remember her as the star of the KDrama "My Mister." The calmness he radiated in that show and the soothing tone of his voice will be hard to forget. The senseless of his death makes it harder to bear.

Felt the same when I read about Friends star Matthew Perry's death.
