In a shocking incident, a 22 year old journalist, Nirupama Pathak was found dead at her home in Koderma, Jharkhand. Nirumpama was working with the Business Standard, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">New Delhi</st1:City></st1lace>. The Police believe it to be a case of honour killing. Pathak was planning to marry Priyabhanshu Ranjan who was her batchmate at the Indian Instt of Mass Communication, <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">New Delhi</st1lace></st1:City>. Her family was opposed to her alliance with Ranjan. The postmortem report has stated that Pathak was pregnant at the time of her death. It is believed that the Police have already arrested Pathak’s mother who was in the house at the time of the incident.
The murder has shocked everyone. Nirupama could not have been suffocated by her mother only. Obviously,other people were involved. Who are the others? Why have they not been booked. :evil:
