IUI: Queries & suggestions!

Hi gals
I have query rgarding dupaston...does dupaston causes delay in period?...this cycle i was on dupaston tab as i ovulated late day 16 .
my AF date was yesaterday and i missed it(touch wood) but i do not have any preg synmptoms except backpain.....when should i test ?...can i be preg without any symptoms?

I am having intense back pain which is moving from middle back to lower back and vice versa.
I took rest for it but still its horrible...humm...

 

Dear swati...i believe duphaston doesnot cause delay in periods...u will get periods within 5 days of stopping duphaston..that is if you stooped duphaston on CD26 u will get ur periods by CD30 or earlier..u should do a urine pregnancy test two days after missing periods:thumbsup...according to my experience u shld be able to get a positive after two days of missed periods...all the best and i am sure you will get a positive result:cheers

actually my leautral phase was 15 days and i was advisesd dupaston for 15 days....so i took it till Af date...anyway...lets see...i will wait for some more time and then do UPT.

Today I completed 5 days after IUi. Littlr upset coz I had a very very bad fight with my DH yesterday and somewhere I was responsible for it:bonk:bonk Pls ladies pray for me that I miss my periods this time and this fight has not caused any harm:drowning:bowdown Pls pls pray for me.

I m on 5th day post IUI. I have just been recommended dupaston 10mg once daily for 10 days and multivitamins other then regular dose of FOLIC ACID AND GLYCIPAGE( don't have diabetes, just to maintain hormonal balance) What is this miprogen vaginal tablets and what is the use? Is my doc has made a mistake by not giving it to me?

Miprogen are vaginal Progestron tab which we need to insert into vagina and it is absorbed.......till now i was using this only as progestron but this cycle i ovulated late on day 16 so my doctor gave me progestron in two forms one as oral(dupaston) and second vaginal(miprogen).

your doctor has not made any mistake.

hi.. sorry to hear abt AF, well you have a buddy in me ! Got mine on friday - 14th may.. and yes 27 days cycle! Ended up in a bad fight with dh, for no fault of his.. think I was stressed and just took it out on him.. went by myself to the doc , which would have hurt him some more I guess!.. Doc wants to do another IUI this time, with fertyl for 10 days, and also an injection on day 5.. she wants to produce 2-3 eggs.. let us see..
I am in the same boat as u.. wonder what is going wrong, and if I should rather see an infertility specialist rather than a gynea.. and the fact that infertility specialists just give u like 2-5 mins, and then dont even bother to hear the case history and all the waiting period for 1 consulation is just putting me off.
Plan to continue with this 1, and then may be suck it up and move to a fertility specialist..
Just a word for you.. why would you want to take a break for 1 year, while I believe a break can destress you, 1 year sounds long to me.. what say..

My heart goes out for u dear!! i have also gone through the same phase 4 times till date and i had decided to go for an ivf this aug or sept.

I believe that ur hemoglobin levels should be treated first, with such low levels the body naturally has less metabolism rate which would directly or indirectly affect the the other functioning of body.
Second, the IUI is performed after 36-41hrs after the trigger.I can't comment on why u r not given with progestrone supplements.Go ahead with this cycle as the doc plans,besides this take food that increases ur hemoglobin levels like bananas,mangoes,pomagranates dates and fresh leafy veg etc.
One year gap is ok if ur marriage period is withing 5yrs.else take a break of 3-5months and begin a fresh.
I sincerely wish u have success this time,else go to an infertility specialist, once they study the reports they might come with some reasons for failed attempts.

Yes it does.....duphaston is given generally for 15days post IUI. After u discontinue it AF comes withing 2-3days....irrespective of your regular AF date.

Yes u can very well be pregnant Swati.......every woman doesnt have symptoms....but that doesnt mean u are not pregnant. Confirm with a blood test!.All the best!:thumbsup
