    I have written this one sometime back, but forgot to post it. Though I am not a conservative, I do not support all modern outlook that is against our culture. It does not mean that I am against divorce. It should have a valid reason. ILites may have different views.

    there is another thought
    have you ever met a person
    having aids living in your apartment
    or down the road...i havent
    but i have seen some with cancer,
    or more cronic disease...
    but see the ads ...the campaigns
    that yell
    theres aids around every nook and corner
    beware it may be at home too...!
    what we will not do for money?
    we get aid money for propagating?
    against aids...!
    why do you think we drink water
    from a bottle...all germs ya
    they drink bottled aerated drinks
    instead of water abroad...!
    and there are no germs that harm
    we drink water straight from the tap...!
    this is just a tip of the ice berg...
    i have more...called culture shock.....!
    and listing alone cannot change society...
    awake arise and caaaaallll....!

    Dear Pushpavalli Srinivasan,

    Your anguish and concerns are genuine. But, these values are there only with old timers. Modern people or people who want to pose as modern don't find fault with divorce at the drop of a hat. My aged American colleague while discussing lesbianism, living in culture, gay people and divorce issues told that in U.S these things are not accepted but tolerated. Religious people still regard these things as blasphemy. There is another famous saying that bad things stick very hard and in young people it is even more harder. It seems that in U.S. generations of people have gone through these things, found them not working and now coming back to old systems of happy married life, joint family etc. We in India always tend to ape the western culture and we are behind in times. So, we have to go through these changes and I am sure one day our younger generations will find these as bitter pills not producing the desired results.

    I am for full and equal rights to women on the lines of Bharathiyar's Pudumai Penn.

    I have seen one
    AIDs patient
    who came to know
    about his disease
    only after he got married!
    He commited suicide
    within a week!
    The poor girl
    had to suffer because of him!​

    In my opinion each and every parent is responsible for their wards conduct. Every one has got the social responsibility towards the society.
