Freebee the higher you climb, more lonely you're since the platforms at height are narrower than those below.. you achieved what you wanted in career & now you feel kids are missing & hence looking at those who have it... its perfectly normal.

I see 2 options here:
1) Leave your high profile job, follow your DH, TTC & now taste family life.
2) If you're confident of managing everything without his daily attendence & you in your current job then go ahead with TTC, with or without medical assistance.

In any case most of Indian men have rare contribution in child raising on a daily basis, atleast mine doesn't. Dont regret for taking promotion & postponing preg last yr.. as quite a few women in corporate world set similar targets for themselves b4 starting family so that you dont feel being left out on promotion cycles in parallel baby sittings. Once the baby comes in all are happy to surround him forgetting who was the planner . All the best.
