Does it show an expiry date?? Even I get this doubt. The ones we buy from Indian stores, they have an old smell.
I buy this https://www.amazon.com/Udupi-Mysore-Murmura-Indian-Puffed/dp/B07K5K6BS6 It is too good, fresh and yummy.
I remember buying Puffed rice for Rs.5/ 10. The shopkeeper used to add some fried gram along with it. I used to pick those grams and eat it. Good old days!
I never found any expiry date on the packet but sometimes it becomes soft. So I heat it for sometime until it turns crispy.
I tried it only once somehow I didn't like the smell. It has some weird smell (makki pona smell). Roasting with some masala powder is better. If you are looking for alternatives you can find puffed grains in grocery stores.
