The Anna Hazare movement made me think, if at all the the representatives of the people really represent them?

Are, we the people, at fault since many times we do not make our demands very clearly known to the representatives of us?

Are the manifesto of the parties who stand for election based on people need or party wants?

    Hi Aspire,

What you said is so very true. But I feel there's a different aspect to this too.

Do we really tell our politicians what we really want?

Do we feel like voting every time an election happens?

Do we really care to read party manifestos before elections, and discuss them at home, at work, in social gatherings?

I believe we now have an emotional disconenct between our elected leaders and the people who have voted them in. As long as this continues, we are stuck like this.
