    recently heard peeru jeeragam creates inferitily???

    is it true?

    Is " peeru jeeragam " same as fennel?
    I've heard fennel seeds is not good for fertility..

    Rosy i have heard mouth freshners and fennels do create such problems
    I dont k ow the scientific reason but yes i have heard it too.

    Perunjeeragam is called Shahjeera and not fennel. Fennel is sombu.
    Shahjeera is slightly bigger than normal jeeragam [cumin] and blacker in colour. Yes, I too have heard it increases body heat & causes disturbances in hormones & maybe as a result fertility issues too. Better to avoid.

    If you're keen on weightloss, try having Kollu [horsegram] regularly in diet like rasam, sundal etc. But kollu too will give heat for the body, so take care.
