Is Iui Painful?

    Hi friends, is iui process a painful one? I have an iui scheduled next week. They told that it will be like a Pap smear. I had never taken pap smear though. Will I be able to bear the pain? Will it bleed at the time of this process? Please let me know!!

    It isnt painful but u will be uncomfortable during the procedure. All the best.

    One of my friend did iui, she did mention it was painful for her, n was very tiring physically. Reading the above comments, I guess it is different for each one.

    IUI is not painful. If you follow the doctor's instructions, you should be fine!

    If you are not used to vaginal ultrasounds, you might not be comfortable with having the procedure done by a doctor staring at your internals. Relax, take a deep breath and you would not even feel the pain. And no, you wont bleed during or after the procedure. It is not an invasive one like IVF.
