Is it worth buying gold ornaments here rather than India

    Hi All,
    I am a new member of IL and also new to KL.I have to attend my nephew's wedding in August.I would like to gift him something in gold.Is it worth buying gold ornaments here rather than buuying in India. If so can anyone name few outlets where i can purchase?

    Ya..you can get 916 gold and with awesome designs..You can go the Masjid India,Kuala Lumpur and there are so.many Indian Jewellery shops.Or else,the chinese outlets Poh Kong,quite famous.for trendy designs.

    Welcome to IL & KL :)

    I know its difficult to decide whether to buy here or in India. As Hachiko have suggested the places to buy from, I'll just inform you from my exp that in masjid india they don't accept credit /debt cards, only in cash. But in malls like Midvalley, Sogo, Suria etc they accept any type of payment.

    Gold prices change daily, if u find somewhat low rates buy in KL itself. Rates are both the same if u see the conversion of RM to INR.

    They do accept credit card at Masjid India.I had used credit card before when purchasing gold there.
