Is it good idea to invest in gold, diamond?

    I never purchased gold before by myself. hence, I need some ideas.

    Is it a good idea to invest in gold or diamond? how should I do it?

    and in India or abroad? please suggest.

    Yes, investing in gold is good.
    It is better to get 24carat gold coins from banks/ reputed jewellers if it is for investment only, as resale value is better than jewellery.

    The current market is not good for GOLD. Gold rates have not increased. My investment in gold (a year before) has gone down drastically that i feel i should have left it simply in my savings account rather than buying Gold.
