We are planning to travel with our 4 months old kid to US from India during march. He had been vaccinated for 1.Diphtheria 2.tetanus 3.pertussis(wholecell) 4.hepatitis b(rDNA) 5.Haemophilus Type B conjugate vaccine(Adsorbed) I.P Does he need any vaccination before traveling?
hi sivasankari since your kid is only 4 months, i dont think there is any stipulation for having any vaccination. For school going children there are certain stipulation, which we have to follow, so then only they give admission. In your case, there wont be any stipulation But you can bring all earlier vaccination record with you without fail, so that doctors here can know, what further vaccination to be administered. If anything is required to be given as per US child care, they will give here, it will be covered in your insurance, so dont worry. Your husband must be covered with insurance. So when you come here, first select any good peadatrician,(who accepts your insurance), and take your child for initial check up. you can search in google, you can give your area code,(address code of US, where u will be staying) and how far they are from your place. You can call them and ask whehter they accept your insurance plan. There is one site www.yellowpages.com, you will come to know, about everything there. take care and welcome to USA :thumbsup
