I sniff a one-upper. Sometimes they do it involuntarily, they wont even listen to your whole sentence before upping it up.

Personally, I would pass them as they are only interested in upping up like robots and not in actually making any positive relation.

There are many better people out there.

    copying is admiration.
Logically, it is and most people, agree with this logic.
We as human beings, get our ideas from somewhere. I might be seeing someone at Costco, and copying her jacket, without even realizing it. Something, we like, sticks with us and when we have the opportunity to buy it next, we will buy it. Same with everything else.

All this is logic...but personally, I get very annoyed with this kind of friends/ relatives. My friendships- which have survived more than 10- 15 years, have friends who do not copy me. I gel more with those kind of people.

Recently, I baited a newer friend to copy something ridiculous that I was wearing- and she did! I loved it! it was private 'lol' moment....she copies everything and even the words/ sentences/ phrases, clothes.....even socks!
I get annoyed. My long term friendships do not fall in this category.
