Intimacy During Covid

There are quite a lot of funny scene images on the internet with couples kissing with masks on. The hard-clear plastic masks (with breathing valves on the side) are the funniest. The lips of the parties are separated by a couple of inches, cannot get any closer,'cause the hard plastics keeps them apart; and the result looks like a kiss from an old desi-movie love scene. Just so close, but no contact.

The scope during pandemic I guess would be far and few between as era of COVID virus lurking in dark spaces and no incentive for inmate or intimate relations especially when mental physical planes are apart. At best, it could well be platonic.

WHO not released this far any prognostications about the reduction in baby production for period jan 2021-August 2021. But gynecs in half of the world are going to be less busy half of next year. Child care industry suffer unprecedented loss of revenue.

But in India, Economic Times published an article that there could be a boom in baby production post pandemic for want of contraceptives.

I was thinking the same way as you.

But now, what I feel is, everyone is born with a purpose and everything happens for a purpose. Ecosystem is balanced all the time by nature. Its not just intimacy that produces baby, but a birth is meant to happen. Its divine.

 

I have no intimacy, but seeing the pregnancy rates around us - the answer is clear, haha.

Celeb pregnancy announcements set the trend and they were followed by many of personal friends who have conceived during this period - whether it was intentional or accidental is a question mark.
