International Mother's Day - Design A Poster Contest - May 2012

    Dear IL-ites,

    As we all know, International Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Indusladies is celebrating this day with a special campaign – Save The Girl Child.

    Create a poster depicting the plight or importance of the girl child in the Indian society.Then, scan it or take its picture and upload it in this thread. It could be a collage work or painting ! You may also add a short message with your photograph telling us about your thoughts behind the poster.

    The most meaningful poster will win a fabulous prize. We will also showcase best entries on our Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the month and ask members to comment on them.

    Points to be noted:

    • Contest starts today – May 1st, 2012 and ends on May 25th, 2012.
    • An IL-ite can post only ONE entry.
    • Entries should be posted only in this thread for it to qualify for the contest.
    • Best and interesting entry will be selected by the panel of Judges for a Special Prize.

    Hi,all
    A baby girl is the most beautiful miracle in life.One of the greatest joy we can ever know, and one of the reasons why there is little extra sunshine,laughter and happiness in our world today.
    The very first day i ,i decided to participate,it was necessary to take care of clarity,precision,expression and economy of words.the pictorial material i planned to tell a convincing story,and no complex artistry
    .Two hands protecting a girl,beti,kanya,daughter,mother,ammi,aai,akka...so many lables girl has.
    space between hands as a treetrunk. Symbol of women,is used to show leaves of banyan tree.Banyan tree is the tree of knowledge and tree of life. It regenerates and considered immortal.I wanted to relate this tree and mother.
    important messages are,
    1)Save Girl Child
    2)pretend i am a tree and save me
    3)save the future mothers and grand mothers
    size of the poster width 50cm
    height 55cm

    Hi,

    Just thought i will do a small poster. The baby in the photo is a girl who is forced to do tricks in the electric train to chengelpet. The girl name is pooja and is forced by her mother to dance in the train. They have come from north india to chennai. So i just thought this pooja can be bought to lime light.
