@vijayarahini if you can use idli rice (boiled rice) then it is best. Boiled rice is better since it is less processed compared to raw rice. But if you dont get idli rice then use sona masoori.

i would like to share my recipe too.

    fish porridge for babies
small size of fish, take out the bones and skins.
4 spoons of rice (raw, arisi)
    half potato and half tomato
can add veges like brocouli, spinach, carrots, baby corn
one small shallot (chinna vengayam) and small amount of ginger garlic paste

add little oil in ur pan, add shallot and ginger garlic paste. add fish and veges.
then add washed rice and stir fry 1st before adding water.
since i use presure cooker the porridge will be ready in 5 mins with 4 whistles. you may blend (puree) the porridge for babies below 12 months. not recomended for babies below 6 month.
u can do the same with chickens and prawns or just vegetables. u can add butter instead of oil.
small amount of butter and oil is recomended for infants for their bones.

u can add banana puree in instant cereals. here we can get baby nestum from nestle (not sure in other countries).
peel and cut bananas in to small and cook in boiled water until the banana is soft. take out the banana and let it cool before u blend it. add in ur babies favorite nestum. so yummy. same method for apple.

Healthier option: use whole wheat instead of regular pasta.
